To celebrate the birthday of daiquiri devotee Ernest Hemingway, Chelseas hidden drinking den Barts has collaborated with premium rum brand Bacardi to bring the infectious party spirit of Cuba to the capital on Thursday 21st July 2016. Barts quirky bar, will be recreating the enchanting atmosphere of the iconic Floridita, home of the daiquiri and Hemingways beloved Havana watering-hole, for a night of delicious canapés, swing dancers, vibrant music and, of course, a wealth of bespoke daiquiris.
Guests will be able to revel and relax the Heming-way whilst enjoying a summery cocktail menu of serves dedicated to the legendary novelist and rum-connoisseur himself. Raise a birthday toast with Hemingways very own creation, the signature Papa Doble, a classic daiquiri with double rum, revitalizing pink grapefruit juice, luxurious Maraschino liqueur, sugar syrup and zingy limejuice. Rumor has it, Hemingway once drank a record of sixteen Papa Dobles, so what better way to honor Hemingway than to sample his prized cocktail?
Alongside the Papa Doble, guest will enjoy hero Bacardi Heritage Cuban classic serves throughout the evening, crafted by the deft Barts barmen. Guests will be encouraged to embrace the adventurous energy of Hemingway, and enjoy exotic tipples including: the La Flordia Rum Daisy, a combination of signature Bacardi rum, aromatic Yellow Chartreuse, sugar syrup, freshly squeezed lemon juice and a dash of Angostura bitters and the Mary Pickford, a seductive blend of Bacardi white rum, refreshing pineapple juice, grenadine and Maraschino liqueur, topped with a Maraschino cherry.
