Hublot becomes official timekeeper of the New York Giants; reveals exclusive timepiece co-designed by Victor Cruz Kicks off the partnership with a Manhattan Tailgate!

Today, Hublot announced a marketing partnership with the New York Giants making the Swiss luxury watch brand the Official Watch and Timekeeper of America’s famed football team. In celebration of the partnership, Jean-François Sberro, Managing Director, Hublot of America, alongside New York Giants wide receiver and fashion icon, Victor Cruz, hosted Manhattan’s first luxury “tailgate”, and unveiled the Classic Fusion Aerofusion timepieces inspired by the New York Giants and which Cruz co-designed.

Coming off Sunday’s New York Giants home opener victory versus the New Orleans Saints, the event took place on a lot nestled between iconic New York City streets, Fifth Avenue and Broadway, with a stellar view of the Empire State Building rising above the skyline, where Hublot hosted friends of the brand, fans of the team, and media. The night offered an elevated take on tailgate traditions, from champagne, Hennessy cocktails, and fine craft beers from AnheuserBusch InBev served from the trunks of classic convertibles, “cornhole” beanbag toss tables, some attendees in Giants jerseys, and a makeshift yet formal bar atop Persian rugs holding flutes of champagne. The food leant itself to the elevated nature of the tailgate, with catering by award-winning Executive Chef Jean-Paul Bourgeois of Danny Meyer’s Blue Smoke barbecue, with grilled menu items including roasted oysters, lobster rolls, shrimp and vegetable skewers, in addition to a selection of smoked items including the chef’s acclaimed baby back ribs, pork shoulder, and whole smoked hog. Music was provided by native New York DJ and Giants fan Paul Sevigny, while guests enjoyed the party under brilliant “Hublot Loves Football” marquee lettering in true New York fashion. Thea festivities of the night contributed to the luxe nature of this one-of-a-kind event, allowing guests to celebrate both the spirit of the Hublot brand and its partnership with the New York Giants organization. Notable attendees include Victor Cruz, Jesse Palmer, Paul Sevigny, Damon Harrison, Ramona Singer, Brandon London, and Devon Kennard.

Midway through the evening, Jean-François Sberro and Victor Cruz shared the stage to introduce the Classic Fusion Aerofusion timepieces in both Titanium and King Gold. Immediately following, former NFL star and TV personality, Jesse Palmer, facilitated a Q&A with Victor Cruz to discuss details surrounding the collaborative inspiration and design process for the newly announced timepieces, recent wins after a two season hiatus, and most recently, his skillful catch that sealed the Giants’ victory this past Sunday over the New Orleans Saints.

The event also served to unveil the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Limited New York Edition in Titanium and King Gold references – Hublot’s first timepieces co-designed by Victor Cruz and promoted with the New York Giants. Inspired by vintage football player imagery within the NYC skyline, the watches feature embellishments of blue throughout the dial, case back, and pebbled “pigskin” football-inspired strap. The limited-edition watches come encased in a full size authentic New York Giants helmet signed by Victor himself, fully integrating the spirit of both brands. This Classic Fusion Aerofusion is limited to 40 pieces, and the King Gold reference is limited to 10 pieces, initially available for purchase at Hublot New York locations on Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue.

Hublot’s multi-platform partnership with the New York Giants includes game day presence, team media, custom events and hospitality, and Giants Lifestyle content. The Hublot Countdown to Kick-off video feature will air instadium as the Giants prepare to take the field at Metlife Stadium and Giants Coach’s Timeouts will be sponsored by Hublot at all Giants home games. Hublot will also receive brand presence with beautifully designed Hublot clock displays throughout club and suite areas at MetLife Stadium for Giants’ games. Hublot and the Giants will partner on creative digital and social integrations, as well as exciting premium events each season.
