This summer, Mr Fogg will officially open his Apple Orchard Bar at the Hurlingham Clubs internationally renowned Aspall Tennis Classic (27th-30th June 2017) held at The Hurlingham Club in London. The hidden green oasis in Fulham will provide the perfect setting for Jules Vernes most famous adventurer, Phileas Fogg, to introduce his first countryside drinking establishment.
Phileas Fogg, has escaped the busy streets of London to set up the ultimate al fresco pop-up drinking establishment and finally pursue his passion for gardening, a truly Victorian pastime. With summer just around the corner, Mr Fogg has constructed a magnificent marquee bar in a picturesque Fulham apple orchard – just in time for the long-awaited tournament. The courtside bar bordering the Thames looks set to be a clear winner, positioned a stones throw from the courts and boasting unrivalled views of Hurlinghams picturesque grounds. This years players include World No. 6 Milos Raonic, World No. 116 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, former British No. 1 Greg Rusedski, two-time grand slam finalist Mark Philippoussis, former World No. 4 Thomas Enqvist, 1986 French Open finalist Mikael Pernfors, 3 time Davis Cup winner David Ferrer and the ever-popular Mansour Bahrami. They are joined by rising stars and top 20 ATP players Jack Sock and Lucas Pouille, as part of the ultimate warm up event to Wimbledon.
Phileas has enlisted his very best bar and household staff to serve drinks in the orchard bar. The Mr Foggs bar team have created shrub cocktails made using Aspalls finest vinegars, serving drinks such as Bombay Sapphire gin, Blueberry shrub, lavender syrup, Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic; Russian Standard vodka, Fever Tree ginger beer, Aspall Sauvignon Blanc vinegar and honey and Perronelles Blush Aspall cyder, Aspall apple balsamic vinegar and raspberry puree. Cocktails will be served whilst soaking up the summer sun on the pristine decking. The bar will be surrounded by adorable picket fencing, hanging baskets and crates of crisp red apples.
Jules Vernes most famous adventurer, Phileas Fogg, has put quite a stamp on the streets of London with three thriving properties in the capital city. Mr Foggs Residence, Mr Foggs Tavern and Mr Foggs Gin Parlour have become iconic, quirky drinking dens, with many travelling from far and wide to be served by Phileass handpicked household staff.
Mr Foggs Residence was the first West End project from Inception Group, whose founders Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling have also created Chelsea speakeasy Barts, 80s themed nightclub, Maggies, the acclaimed Bunga Bunga, an Englishmans Italian, Bar, Pizzeria and Karaoke venue, and Cahoots, a late night 1940s- inspired bar set in a hidden underground tube station, Mr Foggs Tavern, a Victorian-inspired Pub, and Mr Foggs Gin Parlour in Covent Garden. Inception Group has also added to its portfolio of innovative venues this year, with the addition of Bunga Bunga Covent Garden. As night falls, those in the know are able to pass through a meat locker door at the back of BungaTINI, an Italian pizzeria and bar, into all singing all dancing supperclub extravaganza Bunga Bunga Covent Garden, hidden beneath the streets.
