Chelsea institution, Bluebird has created London’s first all pink afternoon tea in honor of Afternoon Tea Week, running from the 17th – 20th August. The Think Pink afternoon tea will be in association with Château Minuty rosé, serving an elegant French twist on this quintessentially British afternoon delight.
The Bluebird chefs have created an all pink tiered affair serving cupcakes with rose petal icing, red velvet rolls, pink macaroons, scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, and a selection of freshly prepared sandwiches. The fuchsia fair will be accompanied by a glass of Château Minuty’s Provencal Rosé, shimmering Rosé Champagne or a Lychee Rose Martini. The Think Pink afternoon tea is priced at £22.50, with a percentage of the proceeds going to the Pink Ribbon Foundation.
Just a hop across the road, boutique designer shoe shop French Sole will be gifting the pink tea lover’s prizes, so that Bluebird guests can walk away feeling purely Parisian, with a new pair of French Soles in hand.
Château Minuty, located in the rolling hills of the Côtes de Provence, overlooking the Bay of St Tropez, was originally established by Gabriel Farnet in 1936, the grandfather of François and Jean-Etienne Farnet, the current owners. The vineyard truly has a family touch, and whilst it has changed with the times, the Château Minuty continues to show its traditional commitment to the vines by being one of the last in the region to hand harvest entirely, ensuring perfect quality of the grapes and thus high quality produce.
Whether you want to bask the last of summertime sunshine in the courtyard or relax in the upstairs urban garden restaurant and bar, this will be a week without any need for rose tinted glasses.
