This winter, escape to a Highland hideaway in the heart of the city as London`s favourite Scottish restaurant, Mac & Wild, launch their winter Hunting Lodges in partnership with their favourite Scottish Gin, The Botanist, at Mac & Wild Devonshire Square. Offering Londoners a taste of the Highlands without stepping a foot out of the Square Mile (located just a stone’s throw away from Liverpool Street Station), these cosy Highland-inspired winter lodges, nestled away on the western courtyard of Devonshire Square, are the perfect festive retreat this winter and are now available to book for brunch, lunch, drinks and dinner, 6 days a week (closed Sundays).
As the coldest season of the year begins to settle over the city, Mac & Wild`s (heated) Botanist Hunting Lodges take inspiration from shooting lodges in the Highlands and provide a festive hideaway from the city`s busy streets. Decked out with festive pine, candles, twinkling lights, heather shrubs, Scottish books, your very own speaker (so guests can party to their own Christmas playlists), and plenty of fur blankets and tartan rugs to wrap up in on the chilly winter days and nights these cosy Scottish lodges are perfect for a cracking festive celebration!
Each hut is allocated its own serving lad or lassie – on hand throughout guests bookings to feed and water your party as much as your heart desires!
Leading the festivities is the specially curated gin-based cocktail menu from Mac & Wilds favourite Scottish Gin, The Botanist. Highlights from the menu include The Botanist Elixir Winter Bramble a warming but refreshing muddle of The Botanist Gin, Christmas Syrup, Aelder Elderberry Elixir and Lemon Juice; The Botanist Apple Collins, The Botanist Gin, Cloudy Apple Juice, Lemon Juice, Cinnamon Sugar, Fever Tree Soda, and Bees Knees, made from The Botanist Gin, Heather Honey and Lemon Juice, served with a sprig of Thyme.
Food served in the lodges will feature Mac & Wild favourites such as oozing #YolkPorn worthy Mac & Wild Scotch Egg and Haggis Pops, as well as other hearty highland treats including warming Celeriac and Strathdon Blue Cheese Soup, the award-winning Veni-Moo burger, with a Beef and Venison Patty, melting Cheese, Béarnaise and Caramelised Onion all served in a brioche bun, Venison Chateaubriand, Venison Hot Pot (slow-braised Venison Flank, Black Pudding, Red Wine & Brown Butter Gravy, Baker’s Potato, Smoky Bacon lardons), and not forgetting the annual festive favourite – Mac & Wilds Christmas Burger filled with Pork Stuffing, a Venison Patty, Melted Morangie Brie, Red Cabbage and Shredded Sprouts served with Festive Fries. For pudding, there’s Mac & Wilds staple, Whisky Sticky Toffee Pudding, as well as lashings of cheese, crackers and festive chutney…and much, much more!
