DAYBREAKER returns for their first-morning dance party on an ice rink at QUEENS skate dine bowl
DAYBREAKER is excited to announce a festive special, Icebreaker, at QUEENS Skate Dine Bowls ice rink on Wednesday 12th December 2018. With a mission to bring more play, more community, more sweat, more dance and more self-expression to London, DAYBREAKER promises you a morning to remember.
DAYBREAKER is an early morning dance movement in 23 cities around the world and growing. The event starts with a one hour yoga + fitness experience and then dance with reckless abandon for two hours before work. You never know where the next location will be and what surprises are in store.
Following a successful 2016 Shoreditch launch attended by Millie Mackintosh, Daisy Lowe and the Pussycat Dolls Ashley Roberts, DAYBREAKER London has hosted a 40-piece orchestra in an abandoned Warehouse, Notting Hill Carnival legends Sancho Panza on top of the Old Street Roundabout, and sailed 400 ravers down the River Thames all before 9am on a workday.
The theme for the December event is all the gear, snow idea and youre invited to dig out your retro skiwear, bold jumpers and cosy knits. The iconic ice rink at QUEENS in West London will be split in two halves and partygoers will be encouraged to either skate or dance wearing special shoe grips. Guests who attend the 6am class choose from a Boxercise class, Voga class by House of Voga or an ice-skating workshop. All classes take place on the ice rink. Not only is this a unique way to start your day but working out in cool temperatures is proven to have plenty of health benefits including burning more calories compared to room temperature.
Hed Kandis Lucid Stannard is taking to the decks with uplifting disco-beats and house music and there will be special performances which include the Rolla Girls. In addition to a morning D.O.S.E. (Dopamine, Oxytocin, Seratonin and Endorphins), there will be complimentary breakfast snacks and drinks to keep you warm and energised.
Icebreaker starts with a fitness class at 6-7am followed by a dance party 7am-9am at QUEENS Skate Dine Bowls, 17 Queensway, Bayswater, London W2 4QP.
5% of profits will be donated to a local homeless shelter and guests are encouraged to bring something to donate too: an extra jumper, a sleeping bag, new toiletries or tinned food. Anything in good condition to put a smile on a stranger’s face this season.
